Job Summary


MeridianLink’s legal department is looking for the next addition to their legal team. We are looking for a seasoned attorney to implement transformational change related to MeridianLink’s channel and marketplace partner contracting efforts. While this role will support all of MeridianLink’s commercial contracting efforts, the primary focus will be on developing and negotiating contracts to support partner initiatives. This is a new position and will report to the Associate General Counsel, Commercial.

Responsibilities


-Draft, review and negotiate channel and marketplace partner agreements, including, but not limited to, reseller agreements, integration agreements, API license agreements and referral agreements -Work closely with the channel and marketplace partner teams to develop strategies and protocols related to such partner programs Review and negotiate customer and vendor services agreements, including, but not limited to, MSAs, SLAs, SOWs and sales orders -Develop new contract templates and iterate existing templates where needed -Identify inefficiencies and errors in MeridianLink’s commercial contracting efforts and provide training to outside (non-legal) departments -Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on commercial matters, including regulatory compliance, contract interpretation, and dispute resolution -Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations to advise the appropriate internal stakeholders on necessary actions to maintain compliance -Collaborate with internal departments to provide legal support for business initiatives, projects, and objectives and participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Qualification: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


-J.D from an accredited law school and bar passage in a one of the contiguous 48 states.-6+ years of experience with commercial contracts with 2+ years on the vendor side.-2+ years' experience with partner contracts (you should have a strong background in reseller, integration, API, and referral agreement structures).-Ability to develop new contract templates as well as novel contracts as needed by MeridianLink partner team. -Knowledge of industry protocols, best practices and commercial transactions related to SaaS.-Analytical skills and the ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies.

-Strong understanding of business and sales operations of a SaaS company with the ability to align legal advice with ML business goals.-Background in finance or banking help but not an absolute requirement. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to identify and address legal issues proactively. Salary range of $152,200 - $214,900. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
