Position:
Asset Management SpecialistPosition Summary:The Customer’s WAN Resource Management (WRM) Section provides subject matter expertise in the area of Information Assurance (IA) network engineering, ensures compliance with all Government Enterprise Network (GEN) Operational Directives (OpDir), and prepares Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for submission to the Government Designated Approval Authority (DAA), provides quality assurance (QA) oversight on all Customer network support IA boundary equipment located throughout the GEN, and provides oversight on all Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) with regards to GEN equipment.The WRM Section also provides IT Asset Management (ITAM) support for all GEN network equipment.
This may include enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, and other network services for multiple enclaves. Some of the enterprise network assets include Cisco routers and switches, VPNs, Red Hat Linux, and FortiNet Firewalls as part of a globally secured classified and unclassified network environment.In support of the Customer’s mission to operate and defend the GEN, the successful candidate will use their knowledge and experience with asset management, system maintenance, and warranty support to provide the below ITAM support.Clearance Eligibility: Active DoD – Minimum SecretSalary:The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the asset management of all enterprise network-managed equipment.
Coordinate and track asset repair, and report all issues with current maintenance support.
Maintain and update an inventory of network support managed equipment to include documenting equipment make, model, serial number, location, purchase date, purchase contract details, maintenance support termination date, and maintenance support contract details.
Assist with or initiate Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) requests for the replacement of warrantied network equipment.
Track the status of RMA requests to ensure either the delivery of broken equipment to the manufacturer or the delivery of replacement equipment to the affected site.
Assist with the physical audit checks of network support assets, ensuring all changes are updated in the appropriate tracking systems, i.e., Microsoft (MS) Excel or Remedy Change Management Database (CMDB).
Assist in compiling and maintaining a data sheet of all manufacturers to identify warranties and services that are close to expiration.
Provide logistic support by managing, ordering, shipping, tracking, and reconciling equipment; regularly log into devices through the use of Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS) and record information on Enterprise Remedy Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Suite as required by the Customer.
Work Remedy trouble tickets as assigned.
Provide administrative support (technical writing, documentation, diagram support) to the team.

Education and Certification Requirements:DoD 8570 compliance at IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP)Background and Experience:
3+ years of relative IT experience
Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Required Technical Skills:Experience with Remedy Trouble Ticketing system (preferred)PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible
Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
Occasional movement of small articles up to 10lbs
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Continually operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Occasionally required to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
