Job Description
Based on the requirements of our government contracts,
you must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
This position is
on-site, located in Huntsville, AL.1stEdge is looking for an experienced Python engineer to join our AI development team. You will apply engineering principles to the development of custom AI software and provide software engineering support for internal AI/Machine Learning products. You will work with the team to actively design and develop tools to support a variety of Computer Vision applications, to including but not limited to web-based applications, AI/ML pipeline integration, and container-based services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Agile software development in small, fast-paced groups
- Development duties include full software life-cycle tasks: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and integration
Essential job skills include:
- Proficiency with Python 3
- Proven experience with scalable Django REST applications
- Experience with PostGIS or similar
- Experience with Celery or task orchestration libraries
- Firm understanding of software engineering principles and design
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
Desired skills include:
- Experience working with spatial data (GeoJSON, gdal)
- Experience with containerization (Singularity, Docker)
- Proficiency writing automated tests
Job Requirements
