Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Panel Shop Technician to join our team.
Panel Shop Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings and other instructions for building panels
- Identify parts that go into the panel
- Complete point to point wiring and install a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical components in the panel
- Perform the hands-on physical tasks involved in panel assembly: Using a hand crimper, screwdriver, and wire stripper
- Assist in shipping and receiving responsibilities which may include using forklifts, or company vehicle
- Operate company vehicles to pick-up and deliver product, parts, and equipment as needed
- Work with the service team on other assignments at customer sites as needed
- Collaborate as a professional contributing member of the team
Requirements
Panel Shop Technician Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma with electrical aptitude required.
- Associate’s degree in electrical/mechanical related field preferred (or equivalent electrical experience).
Panel Shop Technician Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Ability to work with up to 1000 VAC.
- Ability to stand, stoop, reach and bend.
- Ability of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to drive company vehicle between company or customer locations.
Panel Shop Technician Pay:
- Cash compensation potential: $48-60K (includes base hourly rate, bonus, OT).
- Hourly position.
- Overtime and double time eligible.
- Bonus eligible based on company year-end results.
