Key Responsibilities:
- Operate basic laboratory equipment (PCR machine, tabletop centrifuge, etc.)
- Strong ability to follow protocols and procedures and complete tasks in a team environment.
- Execute assignments according to established protocols
- Review raw data for quality and consistency
- Basic statistics evaluation with Microsoft Excel
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date laboratory notebook, tracking work as required
- Work in a regulated GCP environment with a Laboratory Information and Management Software (LIMS)
- Participate in general lab maintenance such as cleaning freezers, shared lab space and equipment, and stocking shared reagents and consumables
- Participate in the establishment of new assays and devices as part of the validation process
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations
Qualifications / Experience:
- Completed vocational training as BTA/CTA/MTLA (or similar) with at least 5 years relevant work experience or bachelor´s degree in life sciences with educational laboratory experience with at least 5 years relevant work experience
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality, both in actual laboratory practice and in documentation
- Excellent laboratory skills, including proficiency in pipetting, documentation and procedure (clinical, sterile, or molecular, depending on the needs of the laboratory)
- Experience converting measurements and preparing chemical solutions and buffers
- Ability to understand protocols and perform protocols with consistency as demonstrated through previous laboratory experience
- Basic experience or proficiency with laboratory equipment and laboratory analysis such as DNA/RNA extractions, PCRs, NGS, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English language
