What you’ll be doing
We are looking for individuals to play an integral role in growing our outsourced accounting practice, specifically in the Oil and Gas industry. We serve a variety of clients across the country by performing their back office accounting functions. Simply put, our objective is to provide superior client service by executing at a level that meets Embark's lofty standards. Our service includes:
Manage interactions with key personnel within clients’ organizations
Manage and ensure successful, efficient operation of Revenue Accounting Team, whose duties include but are not limited to:
Recording and reporting transactions as part of the revenue process, receiving and recording accounts payable, month/quarter/year-end close, financial and management reporting, and more
Balance monthly volumes and values prior to executing the monthly revenue process
Communicate with assigned Clients and Owners as well as related groups within Embark
Ensure thorough documentation of work assignments and processes
Assist with other related items, as directed
Work with a collaborative team across multiple clients to provide them with the best product and service possible
To be a good fit for our Oil & Gas Revenue Supervisor role you will have:
7+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting and/or corporate accounting in oil and gas
E&P experience is required
Revenue accounting experience required
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
Keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
A high sense of urgency, strong initiative and the ability to multitask
Added bonus if you have:
SEC filing exposure/experience
Operational accounting experience
SOX control experience
Experience in oil and gas ERPs (WEnergy, Enertia, OGSYS, Pak Energy, Quorum, etc)
