Position Summary
Utilizes fabrication skills to work on components and equipment. Tools typically utilized are sheers, saws, punches, bead roller, belt sander, torches, templates, drills and brakes. Responsible for learning various areas of the car components and improving fabrication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to perform welding processes such as MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW).
Ability to weld components in flat, overhead, or vertical positions.
Must be able to operate hand tools and equipment such as Grinders, Drills, Saws, etc.
Read blueprints and drawings to identify welding measurements and position.

Skills & Abilities
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience: 2 plus years of experience
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills required to perform and record Romer arm measurements.
Certifications & Licenses:
AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel certification is preferred. AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code – Sheet Steel certification is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Strong communication skills. Knowledge of all basic tools and equipment including band saw, drill press, sand blaster, rotex punch, cold saw, acetylene torch, and hydraulic punch. Must possess an excellent sense of customer satisfaction, communicating with other departments, and filling orders as timely and precisely as possible. Exceptional MIG and TIG welding skills.
