Location: 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262Hendrick Motorsports is seeking an FAA-licensed Airframe & Powerplant Technician to expand its Aviation Maintenance Team. The Aviation Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing the organizations aircraft and will report directly to the Director of Maintenance. This person shall be capable of performing maintenance operations in a manner consistent with the highest standards of aviation maintenance safety and regulatory compliance.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections that conform to the standards established by the Company, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Optimize the aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability.
- Ensure timely scheduling and method of maintenance to minimize the impact on the flight schedule.
- Providing oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications
- Assist in preparing annual aircraft maintenance budgets to include OPEX and CAPEX recommendations.
- Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert on the company aircraft.
- Provide suggestions for aircraft improvements, modifications, upgrades, etc.
- Review and ensure all required entries into the aircraft records and related documentation are accurate and managed in accordance with Company and FAA requirements.
- Assist in developing maintenance work scopes, obtaining proposals, and reviewing invoices for accuracy.
- Build and maintain strong vendor and industry business relationships.
- Serve as the Maintenance POC on the after-hours call team, which could include weekends and off-hour work to support the operational schedule.

Other Requirements
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Work hours can extend beyond regular office hours.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs from floor to shoulder level.
- Physical ability to perform all required job functions must not be hindered.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel (basic level)
- Permanent residence within 60 minutes of KJQF
Preferred Skills
- Bombardier and Gulfstream Aircraft Experience
- Recent experience with Aviation Maintenance Tracking Software
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School/ GED diploma. FAA Certified Airframe Powerplant (A&P) License required. Inspection Authorization is preferred.
Experience:
5-10 years of business aviation maintenance and avionics experience.
Abilities:
Willing to support overtime and on-call duty requirements; Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. and work at heights of 20 feet with proper fall protection.
