Salary starting at $75,000 - $80,000/year
At Pace we work to transform girls’ lives through academic and counseling programs based on a gender-responsive, strength-based and trauma informed framework. Team members work to create a safe place for girls to learn process, heal and begin again. This position is responsible for managing a comprehensive, integrated program that covers all aspects promotions, fundraising and development for a local Pace center.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and/or related experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in development or a related field.
  • 3 years of a proven track record in fundraising and development
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as a team player.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills; effective time management and organizational skills; attention to details, great at proofreading.
  • Experience and an aptitude for using internet and social media to enhance development and marketing activities of the Pace Center
  • Upholds the ethical and confidentiality standards of Pace Center for Girls.
  • Working knowledge in: Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Facebook, Constant Contact or other newsletter/publisher software
  • Current Florida driver’s license required.

Other Requirements

  • Must adhere to Agency Values and Principles.
  • Follows policies and procedures of the Agency ·Must work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements.
  • Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required

Preferred

  • Possess strong project management skills and have an ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks

Role and ResponsibilitiesUNRESTRICTED FUNDING


  • Produce a long term unrestricted funding stream capable of growth

  • Identify, cultivate and solicit gifts from individuals through regular donor gatherings, tours and ask events

  • Maintain database of donors and prospects

  • Help plan, develop and execute fundraising special events

  • Write, edit, and produce all appeal materials

GRANT FUNDING


  • Produce consistent restricted funding that meet and support the program’s growth objectives

  • Research and identify grant opportunities

  • Participate in the development of grant concepts

  • Produce written grant proposals

  • Manage relationships with grantors

PROMO AND PE


  • Build awareness within the community of the center success and the need for gender responsive

  • programming for girls. 

  • Write, edit and produce newsletters, or other promotional brochures

  • Write and distribute press releases.

  • Maintain relationships with media contacts

  • Write public presentations

  • Participate in and/or present at gender advocacy opportunities

  • Represent Pace in public speaking opportunities

BOARD MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT


  • Help create and maintain a highly motivated, active, informed, effective board of directors.

  • Support the ED in communications to the board 

  • Support the ED in board orientations and training

  • Manage all non-direct service volunteers

Life at Pace Center for Girls

PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 corporation that provides a non-residential delinquency prevention program in locations statewide, targeting the unique needs of females 12 to 18 who are identified as dependent, truant, runaway, delinquent, or in need of academic skills. PACE (Practical Academic Cultural Education) accepts referrals from the juvenile justice system, the Department of Children and Families, school personnel, community services agencies, parents, family members, friends and self-referrals. Its purpose is to intervene and prevent school withdrawal, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, substance abuse and welfare dependency in a safe and nurturing environment. PACE programs provide the following services: academic education, individualized attention, a gender-specific life management curriculum (SPIRITED GIRLS®), therapeutic support services, parental involvement, student volunteer service projects and transition follow-up services. Every girl at PACE sets individual educational and social goals that are focused on earning a high school diploma or GED, re-entering public school, attending college, getting vocational training, joining the military or the entering the private workforce. After program completion, PACE continues to monitor each girl's educational and personal development with three years of follow-up case management. PACE operates 16 centers throughout Florida a reach program, and pre-teen centers (girls ages 8-11) in Broward and Manatee Counties. Since it's creation in 1983 PACE has served over 17,000 girls.
