SUMMARY:
Baylor Genetics (BG) is expanding its market access and payer relations capabilities. BG has extensive experience in the hospital setting and is expanding its business to the outpatient setting. BG seeks to achieve coverage and reimbursement for genetic testing with all appropriate US payers – managed care plans, Medicaid, and Medicare in order to serve patients with answers that matter. To that end, we are hiring a Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Director to develop a comprehensive HEOR plan and execute on it, which is strategically aligned with the Access Strategy for a portfolio of assets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Doctorate degree and 4 years of HEOR experience, OR
- Master’s degree and 8 years of HEOR experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of HEOR experience
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience within the life sciences industry
- Experience with the U.S. payer environment and payment system
- Experience with NGS, molecular diagnostics, and/or genetics
- Experience with Health Technology Assessment interactions and evidence needs
- Expertise in writing research protocols and publications
- Expertise in developing payer-relevant evidence, including real-world evidence
- Expertise in evidence synthesis (detailed literature reviews, indirect treatment comparisons, and meta-analyses.
- Experience in the development of Global Value Dossiers and/or Technical Assessments
- Experience in developing economic models and predictive analytics
- Expertise in influencing Access Strategy from a HEOR lens
- Ability to manage projects and to work effectively in a cross-functional environment so that results are delivered according to specified deadlines and project plans
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively on complex clinical and economic matters to internal partners and external customers
- Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills
- Experience with pediatric rare diseases is preferred
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop the HEOR Plan that involves generating impactful payer-relevant evidence, assessment of clinical & patient outcomes data, and evidence synthesis.
- Ensure delivery of HEOR core materials to support Value Dossiers, Technical Assessment submissions, and economic models.
- Translate strategic objectives into concrete completion via-HEOR project plan.
- Engage effectively with internal customers to align and support the comprehensive HEOR Plan, including Access Strategy, Medical Affairs, and Product Teams.
- Engage with vendors and external experts to validate HEOR strategy and technical approach.
- Engage with payer stakeholders, as required, to communicate the value evidence.
- Engage with external experts for external communication of evidence at key payer and/or clinical conferences.
- Collaborates within market access and with marketing on effective tools and materials for payer account team and for payer customers.
