Your Role:
As a Senior Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing complex manual billing processes and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our billing operations. You will play a critical role in analyzing billing data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to streamline billing workflows. This is a hybrid position, typically with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with the specific schedule subject to change based on business needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all aspects of the billing process, including data gathering, invoicing, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing activities to meet billing cycle deadlines.
- Manage complex manual billing scenarios, including customized billing arrangements, multi-tiered pricing structures, and billing for specialized services.
- Analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to perform data validation, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Identify inefficiencies in the billing process and develop solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and billing adjustments.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, and customer service teams, to ensure alignment and coordination of billing activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of billing processes, procedures, and customer billing profiles.
- Prepare billing reports and metrics to track billing performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations, customer contracts, and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in billing and revenue recognition.
What Makes a Great Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related
- 3+ years of experience in a Sr. Billing role, with a focus on complex manual billing processes
- Experience with Billing system conversions
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.; Dynamics 365 experience preferred
- Prior experience with Salesforce a plus
