The Role:


The Manager, Amazon Performance Marketing should be an expert in Amazon Sponsored Advertising, DSP, Video, and come with a proven track record of success in managing budgets and complex item catalogs. You will be responsible for contributing to the strategy and execution of on-platform and off-platform paid media through collaborating with external Amazon partners to achieve marketing and sales objectives. You will be initiating and managing campaigns focused on increasing our search engine visibility and driving shoppers to Amazon using paid tactics, including paid search, display, retargeting, shopping, Connected TV, and more.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Lead Amazon campaign media strategy to support business priorities, category objectives, communications calendar, and commercial goals.
  • Constantly optimize the execution of all media plans for the SteelSeries and KontrolFreek businesses on Amazon.com and .ca through data-driven decisions and media technology.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Account Director on the Amazon media planning, lead collaboration sessions and weekly progress meetings with sales and cross-functional partners.
  • Create and iterate media scenarios with Amazon Ad Partners that is grounded in data, research, consumer trends, and best practices to deliver on multiple objectives and budget sizes.
  • Proactively perform data analysis focused on improving media efficiency, understanding market trends, and monitoring competitive segments.
  • Manage large budgets across brands and regions, accurately account for billing in a timely manner.
  • Retail minded planner who considers all business facets to ensure media timing and spend is in line with key selling periods, inventory availability, and promo events and react quickly to implement contingencies if needed.
  • Manage and provide on-going improvements and optimizations of product names, variations, copy, images, search terms, PDP maintenance, A/B testing, store updates and attributes on Amazon.
  • Manage relationships with Media agency, Amazon Ads and Amazon Retail to meet internal goals
  • Collaborate with Brand and brief creative on custom content, experiential and brand partnership campaigns.
  • Monitor Amazon media KPIs and how media investments impact market share

Necessary Skills


  • Minimum 5 years Marketing/Media experience. Amazon experience preferred.
  • Extensive Performance Media experience is required including hands-on experience with Amazon Search and DSP and a strong understanding of Amazon's algorithm and ranking factors.
  • Experience working with third party platforms such as ChannelAdvisor, Affiliate Marketing SaaS providers, PowerBI
  • Effective communicator who can speak to media performance with internal stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of e-comm principles and latest media developments to drive success on Amazon
  • Experience with non-amazon retail media such as search, programmatic, social, etc is a plus
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with Amazon Marketing Stream, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor & Seller Central, Advertising Dashboard, Downstream, and AI are desirable.
