Position Summary:
DLS is looking for a talented and passionate Associate Director, Project Management- Genomics to join our dynamic Genomics team. The Associate Director, Project Management- Genomics will be responsible for all aspects of the department including quality and performance, staff, resourcing, and selections and support of study deliverables. Ensure that staff completes projects or programs on time, within budget and to customers satisfaction. We offer an exciting and collaborative work environment where you can unleash your creativity and make a real impact.A Day in the Life of a Associate Director, Project Management - Genomics at Discovery Life Sciences:• Ensure project success through the effective management of a team• Improve the performance of the team through workflow improvement initiatives.• Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders• Develop, coordinate and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standardsPosition Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in life sciences field• Minimum of 5 years project management experience, preferably in the Contract Research (CRO), Pharmaceutical or Biotech bio-tech industry• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience• Genomics required• Clinical trials experience preferredKey Responsibilities:• Ensure project success through the effective management of a team of project managers and support staff.• Improve the performance of the team through workflow improvement initiatives• Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders including upper management, clinical sites, laboratory and logistic• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the range of genomics services available for customers and emerging research needs for customers• Oversee customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employee• Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results• Develop, coordinate and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards• Fosters a culture that leverages metrics to make informed decision• Collaborate with Quality to ensure department meets quality standards: create SOP’s; respond to non-conformances, develop Corrective Action/Preventative Actions• Collaborate on the company’s product line and customer needs with product management and feasibility• Respect the privacy of the personal information of patients, co-workers, and all individuals with whom the Company interacts• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operation• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
