As a vital member of the Finance organization, the Gogo Business Aviation Corporate Accountant is a high-energy, detail-oriented person with a passion for accounting and problem-solving. The Corporate Accountant performs various accounting activities per accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (US GAAP) to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. This position will work closely with teams throughout the organization to identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiencies through automation and enhanced workflows while ensuring strong internal controls.

How will you make a difference?
Prepare, enter, and maintain detailed support for journal entries
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to the general ledger, identify discrepancies, and resolve promptly
Partner with key departments within the organization to understand internal processes and ensure completeness and accuracy within the financial statements
Support month-end and year-end close processes by meeting close deadlines and driving process improvements
Assist with internal and external audits
Assist with accounting projects and ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-4 years of relevant Accounting experience
This role is hybrid and requires you to be in the Broomfield office 1-2 days per week
Required Skills, Talents, and Experience
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems experience, Microsoft Navision or Business Central a plus
Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with internal controls
Proficiency in Excel
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Practical verbal and written communication skills
