About Us:
Some companies look for a unicorn, but we’re looking for a chubby unicorn. A rhino that is! Rhinos are what we call ourselves as team members because we admire them and try to demonstrate our rhino characteristics. We know it’s not easy to run a jewelry retail location these days, especially when it comes to sourcing talent.
So, we take our full cycle recruiting process seriously. Don’t get us wrong, we like to have fun, and even apply a good bit of creativity in sourcing talent. We just don’t like to compromise on the service we provide to our candidates or our leadership partners in the stores. What you’ll be doing:
You can expect to have ownership of around 20-25 requisitions and supporting roughly 10 leaders. You will follow the candidate on their journey from the time you source them to the point we welcome them into the rhino family. This journey involves building projects and posting jobs on multiple jobs boards, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, initiating background checks and kicking off onboarding. In the spirit of a rhino experience, we also like to touch base with new rhinos during their introductory period to make sure they are settling in.
What we’re looking for:
Let’s start off on the same page. We take a lot of pride in providing a personable experience to our current rhinos, as well as our future ones. This means the foundation of the role is building relationships. What does that look like?
- Someone who is invested: self-motivated to practice proactive recruiting and has an innate ability to anticipate the needs of others.
- In-depth understanding of networking. This includes building networks within specific industries and developing a candidate pipeline. Bring examples of how you utilized your established network to create bench strength for future opportunities in a location.
- Familiarity with recruiting metrics: We’re looking for metrics that have been used to measure your prior success in recruiting.
- Traits aligned with our rhino culture: humility, ownership, work ethic and passion. You can’t fake these. These must be genuine characteristics that align with your values. We expect the behaviors on the daily. They are not just hanging on a poster somewhere.
- Passion. We do what it takes to get the job done. We love what we do and who we do it for. So, there may be occasions that you need to answer a call or email after regular working hours. It is retail after all.
- Exemplary organizational skills and the ability to flex around competing priorities. How do you prioritize your time?
- Accountability. We are not micro-managers. We trust our teammates to do what they say and say what they do. How do you hold yourself accountable?
- Retail experience preferred.
