About the Opportunity ✍️
Moonpay is looking for a Global Risk & Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team and act as a key player in ensuring MoonPay identifies and documents risks and regulatory compliance requirements. This Specialist will ensure Risk & Compliance are meeting business goals by aiding in risk assessments, RCSA’s, PRC Inventory and governance duties to ensure adherence to global regulations. Here's a breakdown of their typical responsibilities:
What you will do…
Identifying potential risks across the organization, including financial, legal, operational, and reputational risks.
Analyzing the likelihood and impact of these risks.
Developing and implementing plans to mitigate or eliminate risks.
Staying up-to-date on emerging risks and industry best practices.
Develop and maintain a Process, Risk & Control Inventory.
Document and assess compliance controls.
Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct Compliance Monitoring & Testing on designated areas within Compliance and the Business.
Develop regular reporting to Senior Leadership.
Staying informed about global trends in risk management and compliance.
Collaborating with colleagues in different locations to ensure global compliance.
Aid in additional Risk & Compliance responsibilities, as necessary.

What you will need…
3-5 years of experience in compliance.
Proficiency in the Dutch language is required
Professional experience in cryptocurrency required.
Proven ability to collaborate with others, both internally and externally.
Knowledge of global regulatory agencies and regulations .
Experience with risk and compliance requirements in various global jurisdictions.
Strong analytical thinker with the ability to identify and assess risks.
Excellent problem-solver with the ability to develop and implement solutions.
Effective communicator who can explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of regulations.
Bonus qualifications:
Professional certifications (CRMP, CRCM, CCEP, etc.)
Experience in a startup environment
