Those sectors are:
- Utilities
- Food & Beverage
- Procurement
We are looking for writers who deliver relevant, bold content that speaks to 30-year veterans in those sectors. Ideally you will be a trained journalist who has edited or worked on a key industry publication in one of those sectors. You will understand how to write for different audiences and channels, and will be able to switch effortlessly between short form social media and blog content to long form eBooks and white papers. You will be experienced in interviewing or gathering information from different sources and turning it into impactful content that informs and motivates the reader to take action and engage with Veriforce.You will understand the importance of concisely and powerfully conveying complex and detailed information and guiding the reader towards a conclusion and an action.You will be resourceful, creative, knowledgeable, and pragmatic.
As a strong storyteller, you should have a background in one of our core sectors. An understanding of marketing processes, the buyer journey, and demand generation would be a bonus but not essential.
Essential Duties:
- Write copy for our website(s), email campaigns, editorials, advertising (particularly digital / shortform content), and other marketing materials as required
- Work with your manager, vertical marketing managers, product marketing, and other stakeholders to plan and create high-quality, compelling content to support the agreed-upon marketing plan, sales campaigns, and other tactical activities.
- Create content that can be used across multiple platforms (digital and traditional) with the objective of engaging the market, driving prospects through the funnel, and supporting successful sales processes.
- Propose and create sector-specific thought leadership content in order to present Veriforce as a leader in its chosen market sectors
- Produce and experiment with different approaches to demand-focused content that drives leads and engagement.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in your chosen sector(s) and the compliance industry as a whole.
- Be data-driven, use sales and customer feedback along with performance data to continually improve the content you produce
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing or copywriting.
- Formal training and experience as a journalist or writer.
- Experience writing engaging copy for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns.
- Understanding of marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices across both digital and traditional platforms is an advantage.
- Experience working in a marketing environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in producing in-depth content for at least one of the following industries, ideally in a trade magazine or industry body:
- Utilities, Food & Beverage, and procurement.
- Familiarity with the compliance industry or similar field, a bonus but not essential.
- Understanding of how the use of generative AI can support content production.
