The Failure Analysis Technician at Gogo Business Aviation diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures. You will also prepare reports to analyze product failure trends. In addition, you will be able to talk with production or field-based technicians for details about failure diagnostics, but generally without direct client contact.

How will you make a difference?
Learn individual products and their operation. Be able to apply that knowledge to the root cause of failure isolation. Conclude with a detailed report detailing the cause of failure and corrective action recommendations.
Possess the knowledge and skills to operate essential test equipment such as multimeters and the ability to use a camera and process photos.
Perform passive and active component tests and analyses to determine failure causes of individual parts.
May build and test mechanical models, electrical circuits and assemblies, software, and/or perform fundamental analyses requiring scientific knowledge and/or laboratory techniques.
Responsible for quality-owned MRB timely material management and problem report closure.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or electronic technician certificate or equivalent work experience.
0-2 years of experience in Failure Analysis, Reliability, Manufacturing Tests, or other Technician work.
This role is onsite and requires you to be in the Broomfield, Colorado, office five days a week.
This is a safety-sensitive role subject to random drug testing
Required Skills, Talents, and Experience
Basic electronics knowledge for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), including interaction, component identification, and function.
Ability to evaluate essential circuit board assemblies and identify the root cause of the failure.
Ability to interpret electronic schematics and placement diagrams, including inputs, outputs, and operations.
Basic multimeter knowledge and ability to apply knowledge to measure electronic components.
Proven complex analytical and problem-solving skills, including working independently to get to component-level root cause failure analysis and demonstrating proficiency in laboratory analysis and test equipment.
Proficiency in technical writing to communicate the most important pieces of failure investigations.
Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
