This position is hybrid and remote eligible up to 40% of the time. The office location for this position is at ESL Corporate Headquarters in Rochester, NY. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs. Travel required between locations. 

Pay: 


Starting salary: $123,000   Pay range: $108,684 - $137,014

Purpose of Position:


The Manager is responsible for direct management and supervision of Financial Consultants and Wealth Managers as assigned, including coaching and performance management.  Responsible for ensuring the client experience is superior by coaching to consisting planning process and approach. This position is responsible for assisting with achieving sales goals within all areas of wealth management; investments, insurance solutions and trust referrals.  Supports financial consultants (FC), wealth manager(s) (WM I), and financial services representatives (FSR) personnel by identifying solutions for complex cases, providing product and sales education, training, participating in joint appointments, and mentoring.

Work collaboratively with all lines of business partners to promote wealth line of business.  Ensure compliance and operation procedures are followed.

Accountabilities:


Direct oversight of assigned registered representatives

  • Provide sales education and process flow to registered representatives to ensure that planning process is followed with clients and prospects
  • Performance manage direct reports to stated objectives while providing development for career paths and ensure success of each team member
  • Provide frontline resource for technical assistance, new ideas, trainings, products, and procedures
  • Assist in onboarding all new hires, including Financial Service Representatives, Financial Consultants, and Wealth Managers.

Provide Sales Support

  • Provide sales ideas, profiling conversational skills, education, and process flow. Including implementation ideas and LPL processes for paperwork.
  • Participate in large case review (over 500K) for all wealth team
  • Educate on operational and compliance regulations and ensure procedures are followed
  • Coach Financial Services Representatives from entry level of wealth understanding to competently assist senior advisers in branches by handling small investor cases, maintain an approved solution set, provide education and value approach in monthly meetings. Build bench strength for wealth future opportunities.

Foster Strong Relationships with Business Partners

  • Understand all compliance and operational procedures and align with business managers in approach and processes
  • Meet regularly with business partners to educate and promote awareness of wealth capabilities and value proposition to retail, business banking, mortgage, and all areas of wealth (ESL Investment Services,Trust, Cooper Haims)
  • Join and/or participate in local business and professional groups to build good will and promote awareness for all ESL business lines

Participate in ESL projects and team meetings

  • Participate in management team meetings
  • Participate in ESL corporate and wealth business projects and provide strategic ideas for program process improvements and growth opportunities
  • Represent wealth on corporate projects as needed

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience 
  • FINRA Series, 7, 65, 63 (or 66), 24, NYS Life/Accident/Health insurance required
  • Thorough knowledge of investment, insurance, and advice driven solutions
  • High level of familiarity with compliance surrounding the wealth industry and regulator (FINRA, SEC, DFS)
  • Business development experience required
  • Coaching experience of Sales and process flow in the wealth industry
  • Wealth Advanced designations – CFP, ChFC, CFA, CLU preferred
