The Gogo Business Aviation Product Quality Technician is responsible for Material Review Board management, supporting quality engineers with identifying root causes and solving quality issues, inspecting incoming and production products, and performing internal audits. This role is a critical link in the quality of our operations and, in turn, the quality of our products. How will you make a difference?
Manage products and processes within the MRB cage, including quality checks on products moving in/out of the MRB cage
Oversee the disposition matrix and associated Unipoint functions, which indicate who can disposition non-conforming product
Work with quality engineers to identify issues, perform containment, root cause, and implement corrective actions for quality issues
Perform accurate visual, dimensional, mechanical, and/or functional inspection of materials per inspection plans, drawings, and other specification requirements
Initiate material non-conformance reports, as required. Ensure that the report contains accurate and sufficient detail of noncompliance or the cause(s) of failure
Review in-process and final production materials by confirming specifications and documenting results
Ensure the product conforms to drawing, specification, regulatory, and quality standards
Participate in ISO 9001/AS9100, FAA, Customer, and Internal audits, as required
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
0-2 years operating in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings
IPC 610 and/or 620 certified
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Will be working in office, lab, and manufacturing environments
This role is onsite and requires you to be in the Broomfield, Colorado, office five days a week.
Required Skills, Talents, and Experience
Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Previous visual and mechanical inspection background with the ability to use essential hand measurement tools (calipers, pin and height gauges, etc.)
Exposure to or experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central preferred)
Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and task organizational skills
Proficient computer skills with office software applications
Preferred Skills, Talents, and Experience
American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
Familiarity with Agile PLM and UniPoint for data documentation in Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Engineering Change Requests
Experience working in a company that has implemented and maintains a certified ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
