Key Responsibilities:
- Generation and monitoring of time-/budget plans as well as resource management (personnel, lab consumables, reagents and devices)
- Capability planning: management of personnel resources and project timelines
- Literature research
- Evaluation and documentation of results
- Invoicing after agreed milestones were reached
- Generation of required validation documents, e.g. validation plan and - report
- Interaction with DLS Biomarker Services GmbH clinical Project Managers
- Contact person for sponsors of pre-clinical projects as well as assay evaluation and validation projects
- Preparation and review of SOP/INS/FORMs
- Device maintenance and validation
- Training of new employees
- Working according to GCP guidelines
- Ordering of reagents, lab consumables, devices etc.
- Monitoring of inventory acquisition (supervision and review of ordering of lab consumables and reagents) including negotiations of service agreements and prices for lab consumables and reagents as well as reagent lot reservations
- Record keeping of lab journals
- Preparation of solutions and buffers
- Processing of human tissue, cell culture or blood/serum samples
- Archiving of processed specimens, slides, etc. including cryo-archival material
Position Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
- University degree in biology or biochemistry, conferral of a doctorate graduation, or Bachelor / Master of Science
- Several years of experience in a laboratory for molecular biology, cellular biology or biochemistry
- Experience with project management in the medical/pharmaceutical environment
- Good computer knowledge with standard operating systems, MS office
- Previous experience with digital image analysis,histology, immunohistochemistry, multiplex immunofluorescence would be a benefit
- Very good written and spoken English skills, preferably negotiation level
