Responsibilities:
- Maintain awareness of Repairman skillsets and technical abilities to create and manage team member development plans.
- Key team member in process standardization, development, training, and implementation
- Recommends actions to improve performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in project plans to increase efficiency.
- Identify, communicate, and facilitate action plans regarding potential customer risks and high priority projects.
- Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts and assess cost and responsibility.
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer.
- Provide field engineering support throughout equipment installation and disassembly of customer stamping or forging presses.
- Inspect customer presses and make recommendations for repairs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
- 10+ years’ experience repairing and/or inspecting stamping and forging presses.
- Strong understanding of stamping and forging presses, press components, and functionality of the mechanism.
- Knowledgeable in the full rebuild of a press following the disassembly and repair process.
- Ability to communicate with customers on job sites and report findings to upper management.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of mechanical design (machine design, mechanical equipment)
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics systems
