Responsibilities


  • Develop welding projects by analyzing work orders, calculating requirements and determining appropriate welding techniques
  • Fit and weld structural fabrication projects for installation at customer facilities
  • Fit and weld per blue print and/or drawing specifications
  • Complete daily fabrication duties in support of department needs
  • Complete projects while maintaining compliance with codes, specifications, and drawings
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements


  • 2 or more years of welding and fabrication experience
  • Structural steel welding and fabricating experience preferred
  • Proficient in both MIG and TIG welding processes
  • Able to read shop/fabrication drawings and blue prints
  • Capable of working independently from blue prints and drawings
  • Ability to maintain equipment preferred but not required.
  • Machining experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with brake press, shear, and saws preferred but not required
  • Applicable welding certifications preferred but not required
  • Confident in operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other related heavy equipment
