What You'll Do
The CCT technician is responsible for the repair of chassis, trailers, containers, and other intermodal equipment in their designated intermodal terminal, in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair damage to chassis, trailers, and containers, including brakes, landing gear, and suspension.
- Safely assess, diagnose, repair, and handle tires on all types of intermodal equipment, including single and split rim applications
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment’s current condition and maintenance history
- Maintain designated parts and inventory list
- Provide concise written and photographic documentation to support the need for maintenance
- Create and maintain a safe and clean work environment
What You'll Need
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Own basic hand tools
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions well
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, mainframe systems, and terminal operating systems
- Comfort with climbing ladders and working up to 20 feet above ground
Preferred
- Verifiable work experience (5 years) with an acceptable attendance record
- Mechanics with FMCSA and Brake Qualification forms (not required)

- This role is based out of Chicago, IL 60629
- This role requires employees to be on-site during designated shifts.
