JOB DESCRIPTION
The Valuation Analyst / Associate’s primary role will be developing financial models, researching industry & market trends, evaluating company financials, and performing investment valuations. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail‐orientated, and able to analyze data and convey conclusions effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop financial models and perform valuations across debt and equity investments
- Synthesize data to support, challenge, and reconcile conclusions, including back testing and stress testing
- Identify, evaluate, and present trends and performance drivers relevant to our business
- Coordinate activities and create materials for the Antares Valuation Committee
- Lead enhancements and updates to policies, procedures, processes, and methodologies in line with ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement and industry best practices
- Research and understand current market practices relating to valuation issues and hot topics
- Provide subject matter expertise to valuation‐related projects, such as regulatory reviews, new business initiatives, etc.
- Collaborate across functions including Capital Markets, Credit, Deal Originations, Marketing, and Asset Management teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
- 1‐4 years of related work experience
- At least 1 year of direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions, within a private credit asset management, valuation, investment banking, commercial banking, or financial research firm
- Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling including experience building models from scratch
- Excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‐paced environment with limited supervision
- Finance or accounting designation such as CFA, CPA preferred
