POSITION OVERVIEWThe Truck Sales Representative is charged with selling new and/or used medium and heavy-duty trucks in accordance with established profit and unit count objectives. The Truck Sales Representative’s responsibility is to develop business partnerships with key accounts while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop business partnerships with key accounts.
- Retain and grow existing accounts and solicit new business by executing the sales strategy.
- Effectively manage territory through prioritization and maximum efficiency to ensure that corporate objectives, including established call frequencies and individual objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain territory coverage plan. Territory, Account, Opportunity & Call planning.
- Sales calls – face to face meetings with call plans followed up by one-page call reports.
- Develop and maintain sales within areas of geographic responsibility.
- Achieve assigned sales targets in assigned territory by qualification and relationship building of customers.
- Participate in sales, product, and training meetings.
- Analyze customers and market conditions to provide management with data about market trends, competitive products, pricing, promotions, and programs.
- Identify sales opportunities through customer needs-analysis and knowledge of competitor products.
- Respond to all inquiries, both internal and external, in a timely basis, prepare weekly itineraries, prepare routine and special reports as required by management, and maintain a professional image.
- Become proficient in the use of the TOPs (Truck Order Proposal System).
- Become proficient in the use of the company customer database system.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of new and used medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Maintain a Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License within one year.
Salary range for Truck Sales Representative (depending on role, experience level and your individual sales) can range from $50,000-$800,000 annual salary.

Employee safety is a prime concern of RWC. This position is a safety sensitive position and requires a clean MVR to operate a motor on behalf of RWC and falls under the requirements of the RWC Drug and Alcohol policy.

Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.Must be self-motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills.Must conduct his/herself in a professional manner.
