Summary of Position:


The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the company's HSE policies and programs. This role involves close coordination with various stakeholders including Legal, HR, and Field Supervisors to ensure comprehensive and consistent safety practices across all operations. The HSE Supervisor will lead the field HSE team, manage safety metrics, and administer various safety-related systems and programs.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


The following represents most of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.As a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • HSE Policy Review and Coordination:
  • Annually reviewing and updating HSE policies and programs.
  • Coordinating with Legal, HR, and Field Supervisors to integrate feedback and ensure alignment with overall company policies.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
  • Updating HSE metrics monthly for leadership review.
  • Preparing and presenting quarterly HSE metrics for Board review.
  • Meetings and Incident Management:
  • Attending weekly Operations meetings to discuss and address HSE issues.
  • Reviewing and managing observations and incidents to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
  • Field Team Leadership:
  • Leading the field HSE team to ensure consistency and compliance across all basins.
  • Overseeing contractor safety, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training, audits, and internal safety initiatives.
  • Safety Meetings and Training:
  • Coordinating the creation and distribution of monthly safety meeting slides.
  • Leading safety initiatives in the Houston office, including Fire Warden training, CPR training, Smith Driver training, ergonomics, New Employee Orientation, and provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for field visits.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
  • Administering the Workday LMS, ensuring accurate record-keeping, planning, scheduling, reporting, and surveys.
  • Ensuring all training programs comply with internal and external standards.
  • Contractor Account Management:
  • Administering ISNet and Veriforce contractor accounts to ensure contractor compliance with company HSE standards.
  • Observation and Incident Tracking:
  • Administering the proprietary HSE observation and incident tracking system.
  • Maintaining and updating the Spotfire dashboard to provide real-time data and insights.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Have a bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
  • 5 years of experience in HSE role(s), preferably within the oil and gas sector.
  • Certification in relevant HSE disciplines (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) is preferred.
  • Must have strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Have experience with HSE management systems (e.g., ISNet & Veriforce).
  • Have strong leadership, with effective communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively within a team and cross-functionally, on all levels of the organization.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Be able to adapt to the needs of the business with short notice.
  • Must be meticulous with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy.
  • Gain experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Be familiar with incident investigation methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Prove a track record of successfully implementing HSE initiatives and programs.

Working Conditions/Environment:


  • Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


  • This is a full-time position.
  • 9 Hours Monday – Thursday
  • 4 Hours Friday
