Master Data Specialist – Professional Services, Technical Services
Trax Technologies provides cloud-based solutions and services to automate and manage freight invoice auditing and payment processing for buyers and sellers of logistics services. Trax operates on a global scale with offices in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, and Europe.This position works within our Professional Services – Technical Services team to support our clients in accurately assigning and reporting logistics invoice costs from our system to their internal cost accounting system.
Specifically, this position works within the data ingestion/receipt phase of an invoice to ensure that the carrier is providing the standard charge and service codes that are align to their business contracts with the client and reject bad invoices when necessary for resubmission with the corrected data.The Master Data Specialist will scrutinize and interpret contracts and feeds, assign and standardize codes, classify charge and services for correct utilization in rating and audit and for business reports and analytics.Responsibilities:• Review contracts and transactions between customers and carrier to correctly identify and classify the standard SCAC, charges and services for each carrier set up.• Review and clear data exceptions pertaining to required standard invoice data elements or codes such as SCAC, charge, service, container, unit of measure, invoice amounts, incoterms, etc.• Ensure that production and FT tables related to data management are aligned and is up to date with the carrier’s latest EDI specifications.• Ensure that all required data for carrier set-up (SCAC, charge and service codes) are provided to correctly implement carrier on-boarding.• Collaborate with onboarding teams (CDE, PMO, AA), EDI, Data integration and Audit operations to ensure the charges and services configured are standard and correctly classified and coded in the tables and are align with the carrier’s rating application.• Streamline and standardize carrier charge and service codes across all customers and push back “garbage data” when necessary.• Exhibit personal accountability to prioritize work to meet milestones and complete deliverables.
Manage environment to accommodate multiple competing priorities to meet expected deadlines.Qualifications and Experience:• College graduate or bachelor’s degree in management, Transport and Logistics, Information Technology, or other related fields preferred, but not required.• Experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred.• Intermediate level of knowledge in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, functions)• Willing to be assigned on different shifts to attend internal or external meetings as needed.• Highly analytical and decisive.
Should be able to use systematic and business approach in solving problems and implementing solutions to identified issues.• Fast learner and able to work independently.• Can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this position must be able to articulate issues to all stakeholders.• Able to follow process standardization and recommend opportunities for streamlining.
