Job Description


Reporting to the SVP, Talent and Culture, the Talent and Culture Manager will play an integral role within the HR team and work closely with the SVP and VP, Talent and Culture and partner with HR Operations, HR Business Partnership & Talent Acquisition (HR BP) and other departments across the firm. In this role, the Manager, Talent and Culture will be responsible for supporting our talent development strategies, aligned with our strategic business goals, by managing and implementing a range of talent initiatives and programs to embed best practices across (1) talent acquisition, (2) diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI), (3) performance management, (4) learning & development, (5) sponsorship and mentorship and (6) other priority talent and culture initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise across a range of talent and culture topics and a proven track record of owning programs from design to delivery.

Responsibilities


  • Support Antares’ DEI strategy by:

  • Working with the SVP and VP, Talent and Culture to implement DEI policies and procedures,
  • Tracking metrics, deriving insights and contributing to reporting to help shape the direction of the DEI strategy and initiatives,
  • Partnering with HRBPs to help embed Talent Acquisition best practices,
  • Lead our Employee Impact Groups (EIGs) by setting the agenda for meetings, facilitating EIG decision making and facilitating a sense of belonging and inclusion within the EIGs and beyond to the broader organization,
  • Working closely with the VP, Talent and Culture to drive improvements in overall employee engagement by establishing and leveraging relationships with underrepresented minority groups, communities and organizations through deliberate outreach efforts and activities,
  • Lead, manage and execute on DEI initiatives and events that enhance our culture of belonging and brand 
  • Working closely with the VP, Talent and Culture in executing a plan to represent Antares at diversity and inclusion conferences, industry events etc. to promote Antares as a diversity employer of choice.
  • Review results of culture surveys through the DEI lens and leverage EIGs to solicit input and feedback on how best to address areas of opportunity; lead and facilitate related action planning efforts.
  • Partners with the Communications group to develop campaigns and communications that support our DEI strategy and promotes our DEI priorities internally
  • Generally, promote accountability at all levels for cultivating an inclusive culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, flexibility and fairness to enable all employees to fully contribute.

  • Support the VP, Talent and Culture, in the development of certain learning and development programs, including owning the design and delivery of lunch and learn series, “candid conversations”, etc. by:
  • Leading aspects of our goal setting and performance review process, liaising with internal stakeholders to facilitate best practices and consistency in approach enterprise wide
  • Work with our HR Analyst, to manage new hire orientation, including owning the design, logistics, coordination and delivery of the orientation program.
  • Working closely with the SVP, Talent and Culture, leads the project management of the Talent and Culture aspect of the development of the Antares Employee Value Proposition
  • Support the creation of a career development framework and supporting initiatives such as mentorship and sponsorship programs.
  • Support our HRBPs in the execution of key talent processes such as performance management, talent reviews, employee engagement action planning and talent acquisition.
  • Leads the implementation of internal rotation programs to facilitate development opportunities for Antares employees.
  • Other duties as assigned, such as supporting change management, leadership development initiatives, employee engagement surveys and generally leveraging data to generate insights to identify areas of opportunity in the Talent and Culture space.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, Communications or related degree program. MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in learning and development, talent management, or HR Business Partner focused roles.
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering learning and/or career development programs.
  • Ideal candidate has very strong written and verbal communication skills and is an experienced facilitator.
  • Ability to effectively handle both complexity and ambiguity and shift between strategic and tactical work.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative team player with ability to build strong working relationships with peers and key stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, challenges the status quo, thinks multiple steps ahead to anticipate issues before they arise, and escalates as appropriate.
  • Is self-motivated, has a strong focus on continuous improvement, and takes initiative to address areas of opportunity.
  • Acts with the utmost integrity; leads by example and handles sensitive and/or confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint).
  • Experience with Workday HRIS preferred.

  • Must be willing to work from Chicago and travel as necessary.
