Job Objective:
The Plant Operator role is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of any of our natural gas processing/ treating plants. The operator performs day-to-day operations tasks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with Company Policy as well as safety and environmental regulations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and operate process control systems and related equipment in natural gas processing plants. Acknowledges, responds to, and initiates corrections/ actions to process alarms.
  • Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance of plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems, to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Communicate and work with other Harvest personnel and field Operators for daily operation of pipeline systems.
  • Conducts and/or coordinates ongoing maintenance and housekeeping throughout the facility.
  • Procurement of necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks.
  • Accurately and safely conducts lab analysis of process fluids needed to support plant operation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize plant operations and implement process improvements.
  • Respond to emergencies and operational disruptions, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to minimize impact.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to stay abreast of industry advancements and safety standards.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior operators and support staff.

  • Ability to be available 24 hrs per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.)

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in natural gas processing or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of gas processing principles, equipment, safety protocols, and OSHA PSM Regulation.
  • Proficiency in operating process control systems and using diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to work in shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, carrying, and climbing.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks.
  • Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
  • Ability to work alone with a high level of self-motivation.

Education Requirements:


  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
