Responsibilities
Manage daily operating accounting activity and monthly closing process for multiple real estate projects. Duties will include:
- Manage financial activities across multiple real estate development projects
- Consolidate and analyze financial results for multiple real estate development projects
- Review monthly budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Review monthly funding draws
- Review and assist team with reconciling commissions and deposit accounts
- Assist in preparing monthly management reports and adhoc requests
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Big 4 experience a plus
- Five (5)+ years experience including management experience
- Ability to manage accounting for multiple real estate projects-REQUIRED
- Experience in posting general ledger journal entries
- Experience in preparing and reviewing construction budgets
- Experience in technical accounting research, preparing financial statements and related disclosures
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel and Outlook and financial systems experience
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA required, resumes of candidates without a CPA will NOT be considered for hire.
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance or other business discipline (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
