The incumbent is responsible for using investigative resources and negotiation skills to ensure accurate processing and pricing for a claim. The incumbent is responsible for providing coverage analysis, investigation, thorough development of damage issues, and detailed resolution plans for claims that directly correlate with property damage, special investigations, and/or subrogation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.1. Evaluate all detailed facts regarding any submitted claim that includes liability, subrogation, or SIU; recognize the actual amount of overall damages and subrogation recovery and address any potential fraud on the scene.2. Maintain contact with initial witnesses and parties to provide information on liability, claim value, explanation of benefits, and coordination of claims resolution.3.
Develop appropriate methods of repair/replacement, verify ownership, and apply any special limitations post-evaluations.4. Coordinate plan of action in a pro-active manner and negotiate the earliest and most cost effective resolution of claims.5. Coordinate all activities of claims referred for SIU investigations and coordinate the investigative activities of external resources.6. Communicate effectively with law enforcement regarding claims, insureds, and/or vendors.7. Maintain statistical reporting data and develop anti-fraud plans in accordance with state regulations; develop and conduct programs and training sessions in fraud awareness and detection.8. May develop and/or train other claim employees in the area of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college, business school, or technical school3. Adjusters License for states in which the Company conducts business
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Progressive experience processing property claims2. Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university3. Fluency in Spanish
