Job Summary:
The Portfolio Consultant will drive investment management services for Wealth Advisors. The role serves as the primary point of contact for Wealth Management for investment and portfolio management. Primary responsibilities include meeting with Advisors to consult on portfolio strategy, objectives, and ensuring accurate completion of investment implementations. Success in this role is creating a great experience for Advisors by completing investment related support and analysis in a timely and efficient manner.This role provides excellent opportunity for career acceleration and advancement to many areas within the company including Portfolio Management, Investment Operations, and Wealth Management.
Essential Job Functions for the Portfolio Consultant will include:
Concierge Level Service & Communication
- Communicate effectively to understand client objectives to execute desired outcomes
- Provide status updates on portfolio implementations proactively and timely
- Deliver an excellent experience to our Wealth Advisor Teams in developing and implementing investment strategies
- Must have the ability to work both independently as well as within a team on multiple time-sensitive projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of Investment Management
- Working knowledge of capital markets and portfolio design.
- Ability to effectively match Advisor implementation goals with available investment strategies.
- Drafting, supporting, and auditing Envestnet proposals (and related software deliverables) for Wealth Management Teams.
- Understanding of account configuration options including cash reserves, rebalancing frequency, and do-not-buy / do-not-sell restrictions
- Working knowledge of short-term and long-term capital gains tax to help transition portfolios over desired time-horizons.
Manage Efficient Process & Workflows
- Responsible for managing standardized workflows and investment processes
- Manage portfolio implementations concurrently to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements
- Provide recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance client experience
- Collect and submit accurate portfolio level data for analysis and resolve issues quickly
- Audit implementations to ensure outcome is consistent with target portfolio objectives
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 2-4 years preferred of related experience in financial services
- Working knowledge of Envestnet, Orion and Morningstar preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required, including advanced data analytics
- Demonstrable problem-solving experience and skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and highly collaborative approach
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Work Schedule:
Daytime and evening hours as needed
Travel:
Estimate 5% - 10% travel
