Qualifications:
- FCC Certification (preferred, not required).
- A&P Certification (preferred, not required).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Associate degree in Electronics or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience of combined bench or line work on avionics components.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with teardown, inspection, parts requisitions, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft avionics components to include, but not limited to:
- ADF, VHF, HF, VOR/ILS and DME
- Radio Altimeters and Indicators, Radars, Transponders, Steering computers, Instrument Amplifiers
- Digital Air Data and Baro Rate Computers
- Gables Panels, Power Transformers and Antennas
- Knowledge and experience operating various testing equipment to include and not limited to:
- Scopes
- Analyzers
- Fluke
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management.
- Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, to customer supplications and regulatory requirements.
- Uses appropriate inspection techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
- Utilizes the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
- Records information and accomplishes the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
- Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received.
- Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team mates appropriately sharing all updates.
- Provide timely quotes of units maintaining Gate 1 three days and Gate 3 three days
- Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools is satisfactory operational condition.
- Comply with all safety directive and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.

- Must be efficient and able to document maintenance performed on required forms.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift one hundred (100) pounds.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as walk extended distances.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and/service stands.
- Subject to continual loud noises.
- Must have normal corrected hearing and vision.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals, abrasive blast residue, paint fumes, high pitch sound may occur.
- Personal Protective Equipment required in specified areas
