Position Summary:


Wellby has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Educator for the Community Development and Growth team.We are looking for a dynamic teacher and facilitator with a passion for financial literacy. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality and is an innovative thinker, with the drive to positively impact the members and communities we serve by creating and delivering engaging financial wellness programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Dynamic presenter and expert on financial literacy with the ability to explain complex financial topics in both group and individual settings.
  • Conduct educational seminars and 1:1 reviews throughout the year on various topics designed to ensure the holistic financial success of plan participants.
  • Identify quality opportunities for individual business and refer to them to branch bankers as appropriate.
  • Provide education on various financial planning topics with a focus on strategies that address financial wellness needs.
  • Partner with Marketing to create and conduct webinars and blog content for clients and prospects.
  • Support new sales and market development initiatives.
  • Exhibit understanding of key features and benefits of Wellby Financial’s products and services.
  • Work with sponsor, stakeholders, Experience Design, Communications, Digital Experience, and Technology Services Office to ensure campaigns are aligned across all channels.  
  • Be an effective team member by demonstrating good communication, collaboration, reliability, accountability, flexibility and commitment.  
  • Monitor and reach established goals on outreach and business outcomes in order to measure success.
  • Manage a supply of Financial Wellness collateral, promotional materials, and tangibles for events.
  • Utilize CRM and department calendar to track engagements, contacts and outreach efforts.
  • Actively identify and mitigate different types of risks, including operational and reputational.
  • Provide monthly reports and feedback to management regarding performance and results.
  • Represent and promote Wellby’s financial education and wellness offerings at community and corporate business development events as directed.
  • Ability to work outside of business hours when needed for events.
  • Continuously scan the financial and corporate wellness environment for emerging trends, best practices, and opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Demonstrated expertise with presentation and facilitation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with extremely high attention to detail  
  • Ability to work collaboratively and openly share ideas as part of a cross-functional team  
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, related field or similar experience  
  • Ability to initiate, develop and maintain strong, effective relationships
  • Strong influence skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Excellent organization, communication and time management skills 
  • Experience with financial services and products
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively
  • Ability to utilize the Wellby brand effectively in the area of retail and sales
  • 4+ year professional work experience specifically in the area of business development, outbound sourcing, financial services and/or event-/ trade-/ retail-marketing preferred
  • Willingness and ability to exhibit Wellby Core Values every day

Job Requirements:


  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds across office and load onto shelves for various needs.
