Inventory Planning Analyst

The Inventory Planning Analyst is responsible for planning and coordinating the production schedule for kits and other SKUs that require final assembly into finished goods. This role plans and schedules assembly production to meet customer demand, ensures sufficient component inventory levels, and collaborates with operations, finance, and demand planning to ensure efficient assembly processes. They also monitor and report on assembly production metrics and KPIs. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and efficient production of assembled products.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan and schedule assembly production to meet customer demand

  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for finished good assembly at our production facility

  • Complete understanding of the complexity of each SKU's BOM, including shared components, in order to prioritize build schedules according to changing needs

  • Tracking and reporting of all inbound packaging and filled, but not assembled into finished goods, units

  • Ensure sufficient component inventory levels at our facility for assembly production

  • Monitor and report on assembly production metrics and KPIs

  • Collaborate with operations, demand, sales, and other production team members in order to ensure efficient assembly processes

  • Manage inventory levels of assembled products

  • Flag upcoming issues before they arise and create response plans

  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies related to assembly production

  • Support inventory reporting and analytics as needed

Experience:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or production planning, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Technical Skills:



  • Experience in using ERP systems like Netsuite

  • Experience with MRP tools

  • Strong Excel skills
