Description
This position is an initial training and developmental position. Under the direct guidance of the shop lead person, the candidate will be working in the setup/refurb shop. Under our 6-month training program, during this assignment the basic job requirements are learned and developed with close guidance and exposure from experienced Field Technicians/Engineers, Master Service Technicians, Field Service Supervisors, and Field Service Managers. This assignment provides the opportunity to demonstrate satisfactory performance can be achieved and results sustained as defined by performance demonstration and expectations.
Upon successful completion of this training program, the opportunity to shift to field tech support immediately after and/or as needed by DOCUmation or when a position becomes available in the field.
Responsibilities
• Satisfactorily complete formal product training• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory• Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair with selective customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction• Manage the utilization of assets and resources to achieve targeted financial results and create superior value for DOCUmation and our customers• Analyze customer needs, recognize business opportunities, and influence sales volume growth• Communicate and interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration in a way that is courteous, positive and professional• Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-free• Provide accurate feedback with call close information, parts usage reporting and customer meter readings• Perform other activities that support DOCUmation and our service organization

Education & Certification
• High School or GED; AA degree or equivalent technical training.Physical Requirements• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time• Ability to occasionally stand, stoop, bend, and kneel• Manual dexterity to use hands and fingers to handle, control tools and repair machines• Visual acuity to see small parts• Ability to regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand• Ability to understand the speech of others• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
