What You Will Do
We are seeking a talented and experienced Field Learning Specialist to join our team and play a key role in driving our learning and development strategy. The Field Learning Specialist is responsible for the successful on-boarding, sales, customer service, and process skill development of AION leasing personnel via the design, implementation, and assessment of learning interventions for AION property/site-based employees. The successful candidate will have property management, hospitality, and/or sales training experience in conjunction with a strong customer orientation, be adaptable to work closely with stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop job supports, and deliver effective training solutions promoting performance excellence and professional development.
The Field Learning Specialist plays a key role in ensuring our leasing team members have the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles and contribute to organizational success. *Regional US travel estimated at 70%*. Ideal candidate must reside in NJ, E. PA, or DE since these are the areas they will serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Needs Analysis:
- Collaborate with key operations personnel to assess learning needs and identify gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Conduct surveys and focus groups to gather feedback from employees and managers on learning needs and requirements.
- Conduct regular on-site assessments to evaluate team performance and identify areas of opportunity for additional training support.
- Analyze performance data and metrics to determine areas for improvement and opportunities for learning intervention and performance coaching.
Curriculum Development:
- Create learning objectives, outlines, and agendas for training programs based on identified learning needs and organizational goals.
- Customize training content to align with specific job roles, functions, and learning styles of field employees.
- Design and develop training support materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and interactive activities.
Training Delivery:
- Facilitate trainings and workshops for field employees, both in-person and virtually, using a variety of instructional techniques and methods.
- Engage participants through interactive exercises, case studies, role-plays, and group discussions to reinforce learning objectives.
- Provide coaching and support to learners during and after training sessions to ensure comprehension and application of concepts to drive performance.
Learning Assessment and Evaluation:
- Develop assessment tools, such as quizzes, tests, and simulations, to measure learning outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess the quality and impact of training initiatives.
- Use evaluation data to make recommendations for program improvements and adjustments to enhance learning outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in training delivery methods, content development, and learning technologies.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to leverage resources and expertise in enhancing training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience and knowledge.
- Minimum 12 months on-site property management or hospitality management experience; 18 months preferred.
- Minimum of 18 months experience in training development & facilitation; 24 months preferred.
- Position requires up to 70% regional travel throughout Eastern PA, DE, and NJ.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models with experience in facilitating classes.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrix managed, ambiguous, and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Experience using Grace Hill, UKG, Articulate, or Captivate are a plus.
