As a Field Supervisor, you will oversee and manage several automotive storage facilities and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive yard supervision, quality control, and possess strong leadership skills. This position requires 30-40% travel.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 a year. Based on Experience
$200 - $500/month bonus potential!
May be required to work evenings and weekends depending on business needs and must be willing and able to travel up to 40%.
What will you be doing?
- Manage field operations and supervise all yard activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
- Conduct quality control inspections to meet company and client specifications.
- Ensures audits are completed for each yard location as needed and ensures any deficiencies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Works closely with leadership to implement policies, protocols, programs, company initiatives, and tools to improve performance and achieve company goals.
- Manages a process that tracks and measures the performance and productivity of assigned locations.
- Travel to visit subordinates, locations, and customers regularly through the assigned region; region revisions based on client and business needs.
- Evaluate incoming pick-up and delivery requests and determine carrier assignments.
- Analyze client orders and available carriers to plan and execute within client needs and expectations.
- Maintain and update information in internal systems to ensure proper communication with both internal and external customers.
- Communicate with personnel or customers to estimate time of delivery or pickups.
- Coordinate with carriers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze reports daily and identify areas of improved efficiency.
- Develop action plans with carriers and clients to reduce service failures.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent experience working in the automotive transportation/logistics industry.
- Great Oral and written communication skills.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work according to deadlines and client expectations.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Strong logistic and geographic skill set.
- Prior experience working with transportation software a plus.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft programs, specifically Word, Excel, etc.
- Personal responsibility to manage change.
