Logistics Supervisor
Basic Scope/Purpose:
(The job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)Provides leadership and hands on management to direct and mentor a staff of 5-10 people in a fast-paced order fulfillment environment.The Supervisor will be the go-to person for day to day functions related to parcel and LTL shipments.Create and sustain a customer focus and sense of urgency in order to achieve World Class customer service levels, as well as identify and solve process gaps and process inefficiencies.The Supervisor will promote a safety-oriented culture as well as Fenner’s Core principles of Innovation, Collaboration, Competition, Empowerment, and Stewardship.The Supervisor will oversee all inventory transactions and the cycle counting process.This will result in collaborating with Finance, Manufacturing, Scheduling and Management on the results and process improvements.Expected to be a working Supervisor.
Willing to jump in and pick / pack / ship orders and perform inventory functions to ensure our customers receive their orders on time.
Principal Accountabilities:

- Promotes the execution of the Quality Management System.Work instructions must be followed and updated as deemed necessary.
·Strong focus on reducing shipping/receiving negative customer feedbacks “cases.”Develops appropriate corrective action when negative cases do arise.·Ensures that product is shipped on-time and communicates barriers to meeting goals.·Proactive approach to all aspects of the role. ·Ensures adherence to cycle count program, approves cycle counts, conducts root cause analysis, documenting reasons/results on variances over $500.00.Also makes recommendations on efficiency improvements based on warehouse layout, inventory changes, new product lines, etc.·Develop consistent methodology regarding product transfer, receipt of goods and product storage.·Oversight of the James Dawson processes and products.
- Monitors staffing workload and communicates staffing needs to Management.
- Timecard / vacation approvals to ensure the department is properly staffed.
- Conducts monthly safety meetings on pre-selected topic and ensures associates’ attendance.
- Ensures team members receive necessary training and have a formal career development plan.
- Provides timely and effective associate performance feedback.

·Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Business or Logistics; and five (5) plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
