From project kick-off to completion, our team utilizes this approach to deliver projects that exceed expectations.RequirementsSummary of Position Responsibilities:KAEKO is seeking a Field Inspector. The Field Inspector is responsible for daily on-site observation and inspection of construction work performed by contractor, perform punch list, review drawings, specifications, and other technical documents, prepares detailed daily inspection report for City Inspectors. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily on-site observation and inspections of construction work performed by contractor, perform punch list, review drawings, specifications, and other technical documents, prepares detailed daily inspection report for City Inspectors.
- Maintains quality assurance requirements and monitors code compliance issues. Provide detailed reports when code compliance issues arise.
- Inspect and determine deviation from KAEKO construction documents and outline in daily inspection report. Work with KAEKO Engineering team to determine if deviations from design are acceptable and if deviations require new engineering documents.
- Review submittals and request for information with KAEKO Engineering Team to recommend technical solutions.
- Regularly attend and participate in site construction meetings as required.
- Work with KAEKO clients to establish weekly construction plan is in place and presented to City Inspectors. Attend all City Inspector meetings.
- Coordinate special inspection requirements with City Inspectors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five (5) or more years construction inspections experience in Piping and/or Electrical related field.
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 30 Construction Safety Training.
- Approved City of Phoenix Special Inspection.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Bilingual a plus.
- Must be able to walk long distances daily.
- Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work on ladders and scaffolding. Familiar with safety harnessing.
- Familiar with piping systems, welding protocol/standards, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable working with laptop and/or tablet.
- AutoCAD and Revit skills, a plus.
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
- Understands applicable international and local building codes and standards.
- Able to read and understand process flow diagrams, one-line diagrams, P&IDs (piping & instrumentation diagrams), schematics, layouts, etc.
