Cuningham is excited to expand our team. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Workplace studio. As a Senior Project Manager, you will join a welcoming team that embraces advanced technologies and flexible work environments. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the overall process of design through all project phases, including the development of deliverables and the documentation of design solutions required by both the project’s design and the local governing code. This team member can lead widely varied projects in scale and scope, as well as manage multiple teams of various sizes and experience levels. This position is unique in that you will regularly work alongside the client’s operations and facilities teams and act as a liaison with project teams and studio leadership.This position is located onsite in Verona, Wisconsin.
What you will do
- Lead and manage onsite team.
- Build high performing teams alongside project leaders, responsible for assessing team abilities and desired areas of growth and assign tasks and responsibilities accordingly.
- Lead and manage a wide range of activities and projects to successful outcomes in line with defined project goals and project success metrics.
- Onsite contact for client, contractor and consultant groups, lead collaboration and manage expectations with those teams providing clear feedback bi-directionally.
- Develop and define scope, deliverables, schedules, and fees, then manage teams to those expectations.
- Assist project design and technical leaders in delivering coordinated packages across multi-discipline/multi-phase projects.
- Develop and update project work plans, labor plans, and project schedules and team tasks regularly.
- Motivate the project team to provide their best, foster collaboration and open communication as well as a high sense of accountability.
- Monitor the project budget and work with other project leaders to align the tasks and deliverables with employee time and performance.
- Plan and facilitate/delegate internal and external meetings and communications.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring project financial performance through Vantagepoint and available reports/tools.
- Responsible for identification of additional services on projects and pursuing those additional fees prior to incurring the cost when possible.
- Identify and manage potential risk through the project process.
- Responsible for day-to-day client relations, including working on site and in the field with the client operations and facilities teams and contractors.
- Administer Owner and Consultant contracts.
- Submit to and review with clients matters pertaining to budget, schedule and scope of services.
- Maintain responsible oversight over technical submissions when required to sign and seal documents
- Support Studio Leaders with staffing decisions and revenue projections.
- Participate in or lead the project pursuit process by informing, preparing and reviewing content for proposals/interviews.
- On large projects when the Sr PM is overseeing multiple PMs – manage and provide guidance and feedback on PM performance, monitor overall health of the project and project team.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preference in the architectural design field.
- Active registration/license in at least one U.S. state is preferred but not required.
- 20+ years of overall industry experience, hospitality and workplace experience preferred, and successful completion of at least two projects in the role of project manager or comparable.
- Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, AIA Contracts.
- Familiar with Revit/BIM 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Enscape, and Lumion.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including: clear and concise communication, active listening and observation as well as seek understanding of others' points of view looking at verbal and non-verbal cues to encourage open and honest discussions
$110,000 - $155,000 a yearCompensation provided is based on our national range which varies by work location and may also depend on accreditation, experience and responsibilities.
