Perform general machining including surface grinding, lathe work and mill work. Position requires a positive attitude and will have varying degrees of direct customer interaction. Requires working in various disciplines within the machine shop area. Some supervision is expected.• Setup, surface grind and/or machine production or prototype repairs to blueprints or work instructions.• Maintain and sharpen all tooling as required• Be familiar with all tools required for setup and inspection of various machinery and work in process.• Be able to maintain tolerances to within .001 inches• Maintain scrap and rework to within acceptable minimums• Read and interpret mechanical drawings• Read, interpret and execute work instructions• Follow all company policies including safety instructions• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practicesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus..Requirements
