Position Summary


The Client Director is responsible for handling the largest customer accounts within Bluum. In this role the Client Director will manage a territory and achieving established sales and gross profit targets. They will also develop a pipeline, forecast, solicit, secure orders from potential and existing customers, and provide customer service. Supporting our large districts will require a unique skillset to navigate and require persistence, relationships, and knowledge of the industry.

Responsibilities


  • Developing strong, transparent relationships with key accounts – thoroughly learning their business and providing trusted guidance and support, and proactively identifying client growth opportunities.
  • Build budget and sales plans by customer in cooperation with leaders.
  • Increase market share within all active customers through new offerings.
  • Attend trade shows, update account information in SALESFORCE, processes orders and address customer inquiries.
  • Provide and present market analysis, analyzing RFP and identify new potential business opportunity to maximize revenue in key accounts.
  • Proactively assess and develop client opportunities to provide solutions, grow business and mitigate risk.
  • Produce business presentations to support strategic programs, pitches, and innovation.
  • Pro-actively, efficiently, and profitably controls the sales cycle; manages and optimizes assigned territory to achieve assigned revenue, business mix and new customer goals.
  • Creates comprehensive sales/business plan to cover all potential customers within assigned territory including new account development activities and expansion of existing customer revenue. Emphasis on Q1 schools in assigned territory.
  • Performs sales presentations and product demonstrations to promote products and services; ensures knowledge base of company’s suite of offerings and industry knowledge is up to date.
  • Prepares quotes/proposals in accordance with company policy and ensuring healthy gross profit margins. Manages customer expectations throughout the sales cycle.
  • Ensures placement of company on bid and/or qualified supplier lists for appropriate markets.
  • Prepares sales forecasts/budgets and progress reports to RVP in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Skill Requirements


  • Have established relationships with high level district administrators within the largest school districts in your geography.
  • Previous experience working for a large district as a CTO, Superintendent, Assistant superintendent, CIO or similar roles or for a reseller or manufacturer in a similar role.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, professional journals, general business periodicals, government regulations and legal documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to write a standard business communication.
  • Persistence and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of technology and audio-visual products.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
