Aerospace Inspector
With general supervision, the Quality Inspector is responsible to ensure that repaired parts for the meet the minimum quality standards as established by both the FAA and our customers. With general supervision, the Quality Inspector is responsible to ensure that repaired parts for the meet the minimum quality standards as established by both the FAA and our customers.
Aerospace Inspector Duties
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection requirements utilizing OEM drawings, repair manuals, and/or written instructions
- Use all measuring equipment, including the use of CMM, for dimensional inspections
- Record and document findings legibly and precisely on routings or detailed inspection reports
- Documenting and reporting non-conformances as detected
- Follow all company policies including safety instructions
- Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
- Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Aerospace Inspector Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the inspection of aerospace components.
- Proper use of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, CMM’s, and other basic inspection tools.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret OEM dimensional drawings and repair manuals.
- Preferred Education and Experience:
- PCDMIS CMM programming and operation (Preferred)
