The Pirrotte lab is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our dynamic team as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Translational Genomics Research Institute. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the forefront of scientific discovery by developing innovative methods in single-cell proteomics and applying them to translational cancer research.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mass spectrometry, cell biology, proteomics sample preparation, and advanced quantitative data analysis, with a particular emphasis on interpreting complex results. Bioinformatics expertise is considered a valuable asset.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize methods for single-cell proteomics.
- Apply cutting-edge techniques to advance translational research objectives.
- Conduct proteomics sample preparation and mass spectrometry experiments.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation of results.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate bioinformatics approaches.

- Proven experience in mass spectrometry, cell biology, and proteomics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bioinformatics expertise is a plus.
The applicant should be experienced in conducting research, publishing journal manuscripts, presenting research at conferences, and advanced quantitative data analyses. The applicant should be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as a team leader as required. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry instrumentation in Pirrotte Lab including Bruker timsTOF Ultra, timsTOF HT, Orbitrap Eclipse, Orbitrap Fusion Lumos and TSQ Altis mass spectrometers.
