Job Summary:
Reporting to the BI Team Lead, Business Intelligence Analyst will work cross-functionally with data/software engineering, data science, and product management to empower self-serve data analytics and support/drive business decisions using data which optimizes for operational efficiency. Our ideal candidate finds creative ways to curate the catalog so that others can do their work more effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis to end users, modeling data in a way that empowers end users to answer their own questions
- Requirements gathering for business intelligence projects, analyzing the same to find any trends/ loopholes that might have an effect on the team’s/ company’s strategies/growth
- Refining the system for company-wide reporting of business/performance metrics.
- Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.
- Maintaining data documentation and definitions - to ensure reproducible analysis and metrics across the organization.
- Collaborating with various departments and stakeholders in the company to understand the current business scenario, challenges and analytical requirements
- Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities to drive impact.
- Familiarity with related tools and technologies, such as data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery ), data transformation tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of analytical experience in Business Intelligence
- Proficiency in BI Tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau etc.
- Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing database queries
- BI Tools such a Looker
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and products
- Understanding of ETL processes
Your Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AdTech & understanding of programmatic advertising
- Prior experience with Looker and LookML is a huge plus!
- Knowledge of programming languages like python, JS is a plus).
- Experience in designing and implementing data models both on Tabular and SQL based storage solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to navigate multiple competing priorities
- Professional maturity, aptitude, and confidence
- Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead by influence and example
