Remote - United States (PST, MST or CST time zone preferred)
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to conduct prospect research and perform active outreach to appropriate executives in specifically targeted prospect enterprises to facilitate introductions and meaningful engagement with our Account Executive Team. The BDR collaborates closely with Sales and Marketing, with the ultimate objective of identifying and driving qualified sales opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Follow Wiser’s established pre-sales process in an effort to identify and drive qualified sales opportunities.
- Research and identify key contacts through bottoms-up research for specific market segments.
- Perform daily proactive, value-add, and research-driven outbound activities (lead generation, sales engagement) on prospective accounts using a combination of email, phone, social and direct mail (which you will help craft!).
- Maintain contact and communication with prospects who are interested but not yet ready to engage in meetings, includes timely and compelling email follow up.
- Use Salesforce.com and Salesloft to document and maintain all activities associated with assigned prospects.
- Exceed monthly/quarterly goals for Opportunities created, opportunity progression, and activity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
- Interest in SaaS sales a plus.
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of basic sales methodologies
- Ability to leverage social media to gain access to prospective clients and meetings preferred.
- Ability to relay value proposition of key product lines to potential clients.
- Must be able to seamlessly interact with sales and marketing teams to deliver on the company’s various go-to-market initiatives.
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be articulate and well spoken; able to interact with senior executives and be taken seriously.
- Resilient. Demonstrated ability to remain motivated and productive to reach long-term goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team effort.
- Goal oriented with a demonstration of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Driven, high energy and positive attitude, including persistence.

Pay is established on an individual basis after considering multiple factors such as relevant experience, education, and other qualifications.
In addition, we take into account geographical differentials and make sure pay is equitable with our current staff. For this position, our hiring range for base annual pay is estimated to be $50,000 to $57,000, at the time of this posting.Performance-based discretionary bonuses and variable pay plans are available for some positions.
