The Marketing Proofreader is responsible for ensuring that all marketing campaigns are published with accurate information, are well written, and working without technical issues. This individual needs to take great and detailed pride in their work, as they are a representation for the overall asset quality we produce!
This role will work within our Consumer Marketing Department, and will drive various content proofing and quality assurance tasks across all media types, including email, website, social media & direct mail. All campaigns flow through this individual’s queue, and they will perform user testing, site simulations and general proofing activities to validate that it is ready and approved for launch. Many campaigns have a specific launch deadline, and this individual will make sure that assets & materials are proofed in time.Responsibilities range from sourcing travel deals & prices through internal Product Teams, updating website content, and proofing all weekly marketing collateral campaigns launching (email, direct mail and landing pages as needed).
This role will also work closely with the Product Support & Technical Development Teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve various ‘smoke signals’ found during the proofing and Quality Assurance Process.Responsibilities:
- QA email, direct mail and website content for accuracy and optimization
- Conduct mobile & website user testing across multiple brands
- Perform email client simulation testing (outlook, browser, mobile, Email on Acid)
- Clicking and validating all email links (top navigation, footer, specific offers, etc.)
- Offer validation:
- Confirm that pricing published on the email matches click-through experience
- Confirm the click-through experience shows ample inventory
- Confirm phone numbers are correct when called and across each instance in the email
- Confirm that the offer published on the email is truly available across brands
- If A/B or multivariate testing, will duplicate the process for all versions of the email
- Create Product Support ticket if any smoke-signals are identified during QA process
- Once email content is approved:
- Check email smart lists to make sure it’s correct (this dictates WHO gets the email)
- Checks email flow to make sure it’s correct (this dictates WHAT the members get and in which order/cadence over time)
- Once approved, prepare for scheduling
- Help concept & create new process and procedures to streamline department functions
- Manage tasks within ‘ticketing system’ based on priority levels and upcoming deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or similar work experience
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish
- Excellent copywriting, proofing and content skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines & projects
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet daily goals and deadlines
- Solid ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience with website management or Content Management Systems a strong plus
