Title: Senior Operations Analyst , Etz Hayim Holdings Parent Company of Cycling Frog and Lazarus Naturals.Job Brief Etz Hayim is looking for a Senior Operations Analyst to manage and improve our data and operational system infrastructure. We need to optimize and automate our existing Google Sheets infrastructure as we move toward implementing an ERP. This role is responsible for partnering with the Leadership team to determine the right ERP system, and lead all Operations aspects of the implementation from architecture, to project management, consultant negotiations, and training.
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing all operations metrics, KPI and dashboard reporting. About the Company:Etz Hayim owns and operates the brands Cycling Frog and Lazarus Naturals, as well as a sprawling operation that spans from farming over 300 acres of hemp, extraction, chemical processing, packaging, supply chain and warehousing to support both brands and private label customers.Lazarus Naturals was founded in 2016 to make quality hemp-based CBD accessible to everybody. It's why we own our manufacturing process from start to finish - beginning at our hemp farms in Central Oregon to our extraction, formulation, and packaging - all to deliver safe, effective CBD at an affordable price.

Under the Federal Farm Bill it is legal to sell these low potency THC products across all 50 states via the internet, and anywhere you can grab a beer.Job Responsibilities:Planning and reporting
- Partner with the Executive team to develop the Operations and Financial systems ( ERP, MRP) long term plan, operational timelines, and the tactical plan to implement and improve systems. We currently operate on Google Sheets architecture for all operations, manufacturing, and inventory, and need to migrate to a full ERP.
- Manage the Operational system implementations, project management and project status reporting. Manage timelines, framework, and the project scope, with assistance from hired consultants.
- Develop, iterate and report out Operations KPIs in partnership with the Plant Manager, Director of Farm Operations and Chemical Manufacturing, and Distribution & Warehouse Manager. Responsible for all reporting, data gathering, and data accuracy to share KPI status.
- Develop and implement automated systems for reporting key metrics and data points in live manner, to create internal visibility and dashboarding allowing for floor level teams to understand their performance in real time.
- Develop, optimize and implement routine and robust reporting and analysis on chemical manufacturing, production, real-time/iterative BOM costing, and all-in product and operational costs. Partner with internal management to determine how to standardize reporting, agree upon what should be reported, how to automate existing processes to capture data to flow into costing systems, and ensure accuracy/validation of our data.
Infrastructure Management
- Responsible for maintaining operational systems and ensuring downtime and errors are minimized. As we implement and change systems, responsible for the maintenance, contracts, and functionality of these systems.
- Manage existing Google Sheets inventory, planning, BOMs, manufacturing, and purchasing infrastructure. Rework and calibrate the logic flows within the existing sheets framework to reduce errors, increase accuracy and create more usability for end users. Refine the user interface, inputs and outputs to make the system more accessible, usable, and cater directly the business and department needs.
- Examine all existing sheets to increase system automation, reduce information lag, and decrease stress on sheets so they do not get overloaded.
- Document all and maintain records on how systems are intertwined and connected to ensure system maintenance redundancy and to provide/build the framework for ERP migration.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimization systems to benefit the overall business strategy and user experience. Partner with team members to improve their working sheets to provide more pertinent information and streamline workflows.
- Create improvements to monitoring, inventory, and scheduling dashboards to better align end-to-end planning.
- Responsible managing and developing robust systems and processes to centralize and automate flows of master data for products, production and manufacturing across all functional sheets.
System Implementation
- Create process flow for existing process and business requirements documentation for future system upgrades and changes to ERP program suite. Partner with the leadership team in scoping and implementing new ERP systems and ensuring cross functional usability.
- Hands on manage the implementation of WMS/IMS and operations modules for the ERP. Lead the planning, tactical implementation, and detailed back-end architecture of the system and logic from farm to finished product planning.
- Develop training, analysis and functionality for the operations ERP modules. Ensure that the onboarding and launch of modules is done with all stakeholder buy-in, functional knowledge and minimize operational gaps.
Operations Analysis
- Analyze and determine how to best mitigate freight costs and logistics spend. Deep dive into outbound parcel volume and destinations, LTL & FTL volumes, labor and material costs, shipping costs by zone and service, negotiation parameters & service levels across carriers, 3PL and cross docking to determine how we can best mitigate our parcel spend. Contemplate carrying costs, management time, and inventory holding costs. Develop robust models to compare options, and do ongoing analysis to ensure we are using the best suite of solutions and refreshing our options. We are currently shipping all parcels from Portland, OR and the majority of our volume ships to the eastern seaboard. Our parcel shipping ruins our margins since we are shipping low value, heavy items.
- Manage all analysis for inbound and outbound non-finished good shipping costs, and provide detailed recommendations for how to reduce and aggregate freight spend.
- Assist the Warehouse team in developing systems, sheets, and processes for cycling counting and integration into our systems.
- Develop dashboards and systems to highlight stock health, planning requirements and out of stock risks. Centralize the information so Operations and Revenue teams can work in a better concert.
Leadership
- Be a hands on leader who isn't afraid to jump into the weeds to understand our systems and understands the value of their time and prioritizes strategic leadership.
- Wade neck deep into the operational practices, processes, systems and on-the-floor operation to understand how the organization works. Look at the bigger picture to drive improvements across operations with better alignment of processes and business needs with the systems, develop the right procedures, and align the team on how to approach issues and day to day management.
- Manage, train, and inspire your team. Develop an environment that promotes and rewards initiative, open communication, accountability and excellence.
- Provide coaching and development of staff to create clear career pathing across the operations teams, and provide training to support staff members in being successful at their jobs and support their career paths.

Requirements
Requirements and Skills:
- 5+ years of senior level analyst role managing systems and/or analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in food and/or beverage production.
- Experience at multiple sizes and maturities of companies, specifically at start ups and mid-stage companies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Passionate and skilled at recruiting, training, and coaching team members.
- Selfstarter with excellent prioritization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, results focused environment.
- Software experience: extremely skilledGoogle Sheets/Excel and capable of writing macros and scripts, ERP/MRP implementation experience, and the ability and interest to learn new software

This is a full-time role based in Portland, Oregon. The pay range for this role is 80,000 - 130,000 DOE.
